Situated in the heritage town of Nambour, Burnside Heights is a master planned residential development with its boutique design that seamlessly integrates into the natural surrounds. Located in an environmentally-sensitive area, Carruthers Contracting have been able to achieve successful construction outcomes, while confronted with geotechnical challenges found with the hinterland topography. Alignment of existing services and connections, pipelaying, roadworks and earthworks all featured heavily to create the development and maintain the semi-rural atmosphere of the development.

This multi-staged industrial subdivision is a driving force for local enterprise on the northern end of this region. With lot sizes ranging from 5000 m2 to 1.2 ha, this development tested all elements of the civil process on a large scale in a very environmentally-sensitive area – which has gone on to win many accolades as a result.

This residential subdivision contained all disciplines of the construction process, including: bulk and detailed earthworks, drainage and internal and external roadworks in line with the Moreton Bay Council Planning Scheme.
