Located in an environmentally-sensitive area, Carruthers Contracting have been able to achieve successful construction outcomes, while confronted with geotechnical challenges found with the hinterland topography. Alignment of existing services and connections, pipelaying, roadworks and earthworks all featured heavily to create the development and maintain the semi-rural atmosphere of the development.

Comprising bulk and detailed earthworks, underground services, drainage, water and sewer, roadworks (internal and external) and retaining wall construction – the staged development was a significant construction challenge whilst maintaining the prestige associated with AV Jennings in the market place.

This multi-staged industrial subdivision is a driving force for local enterprise on the northern end of this region. With lot sizes ranging from 5000 m2 to 1.2 ha, this development tested all elements of the civil process on a large scale in a very environmentally-sensitive area – which has gone on to win many accolades as a result.

Encompassing challenging aspects of the civil construction process, bulk earthworks and deep sewer and drainage have been successfully completed in challenging conditions.
